    My model is a US Marines truck as used in Zakhu in northern Iraq in April 1991 during Operation Provide Comfort. This was an international effort to provide help to thousands of refugees, mainly Kurdish, who escaped to the north of the country during and after the Gulf War 1991. Below is one of the photos from Zakhu I used as a reference:

 

    Photos on the green background show finished model. Four last pictures show the model in "almost finished" form. I used Eduard photo-etched set, CAM resin wheels and Real Models resin detail set to build this truck. I also used a lot of scratchbuilt parts.
